The music has stopped, the classic cars have headed home, and (most) of the decorations have been packed away for another year.
But we’ve still got one little piece of festival business to attend to!
Every year, we invite Victor Harbor businesses to get into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival spirit, dress up their shopfronts and help us paint the town pink!
It’s one of our favourite parts of holding the festival right in the heart of Victor Harbor. The weekend isn’t just about what happens on our stages or Warland Reserve. It’s about the whole town getting involved, welcoming visitors and having a bit of fun along the way.
And while we didn’t manage to photograph nearly as many displays as we would have liked this year, we certainly noticed the effort that went into them.
To every business that put up a poster, decorated a window, added a splash of pink or otherwise joined in, thank you. Those little touches help make Victor Harbor feel like festival territory before the first guitar is even plugged in.
But there can only be one Best Dressed Business for 2026…
Congratulations, Harbor Collective on the Fleurieu!
Anything with mirror balls is a winner in my book, but we also loved the way that the Harbor Collective team called upon what felt like their whole address book of different creators to put together a window display showcasing a little somethin’ from each of them. It’s a little bit like the Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival, really – enough to keep everybody entertained!
It’s wonderful to see businesses bringing a little rock ‘n’ roll to their corner of Victor Harbor. We also loved Mr Menswear (did the streamers last the whole weekend?), the musical notes made out of book pages at Coffee & Book Realm, the neon jukebox and inflatable keyboards at Little Haven and Home, and – of course – all of the main street op shops (although they do have a bit of an advantage on the vintage clothes front!).
A big congratulations to everyone at Harbor Collective on the Fleurieu, and thank you for helping us paint the town pink in 2026. We’ll be in touch with your prize very soon, thanks to The Big Duck.
And to all our local businesses, thank you for being part of another Victor Harbor Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival. We look forward to seeing what you come up with next year!
