Transport options in Victor Harbor can be limited, especially at night, so this year’s festival includes free bus services and discounted SteamRanger train trips to help festivalgoers get to and from the event safely.

These extra transport options are available thanks to THINK! Road Safety, a South Australian Government initiative that encourages all road users to make safer choices.

Bus Routes (Free)

Free bus services will operate during peak festival times across the weekend, helping people travel between the festival precinct and key accommodation areas from McCracken Resort to Franklin Parade.

Services will operate on a first come, first served basis. Seats are limited and cannot be guaranteed, so we recommend planning ahead, getting in early, and making the most of the day.

Please note: Festival bus services are not wheelchair accessible. Guests who require accessible transport are encouraged to make alternative arrangements in advance.

Train Travel by SteamRanger ($10)

The Cockle Train is a great way to travel into Victor Harbor for the festival, especially if you are staying in Goolwa, Middleton or Port Elliot.

Thanks to THINK! Road Safety and SteamRanger Heritage Railway, discounted train trips will be available across the festival weekend for $10 per person, per trip when booked online.

The train drops passengers right in the heart of Victor Harbor, making it an easy and fitting way to arrive for a rock ’n’ roll weekend.

For a little extra nostalgia, some services will feature the much-loved 400 class railcars, affectionately known as the Red Hens. These classic railcars are a lovely match for a weekend full of 50s and 60s music, dancing and style.

The Cockle Train travels along Australia’s oldest steel-railed railway, dating back to 1854, when it was built to link the River Murray with the ocean wharves at Port Elliot and later Victor Harbor.
