Best Dressed Business: Paint the town pink!

The countdown is on, and we’re issuing a challenge to businesses all over Victor Harbor.

The Best Dressed Business competition is back for 2026, and we can’t wait to see the town dressed up for Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival weekend, September 18-20.

Every year, local businesses go all out with shop windows, decorations and retro displays. We’ve seen everything from jukeboxes and vinyl records to pink flamingos, poodle skirts and classic cars, and somehow each year the creativity gets better.

We’ve also welcomed plenty of new businesses to Victor Harbor since last year’s festival, so this is your official invitation to join in the fun.

Not just Ocean Street

One important reminder – you don’t need to be on Ocean Street to get involved.

We’ve had fantastic entries from businesses in McKinlay Street, Coral Street and beyond, and we’d love to see even more corners of Victor Harbor join in this year. Wherever your business is, we’d love to see you help paint the town pink.

The brief is beautifully simple:

Theme: Rock ‘N’ Roll (obviously!)
Festival colours: Pink and black

From there, it’s entirely up to you.

It was tricky to take photos of Coffee & Book Realm‘s shiny windows in 2025,
but check out that collection of sheet music!

How to take part

Decorate your shopfront or window, and make sure it’s ready for festival weekend. Our judging team will be wandering around Victor Harbor across the weekend, snapping photos of the displays that catch our eye.

You can also send us a photo at info@rocknrollfestival.com.au or tag the Victor Harbor Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival on Facebook so we don’t miss your masterpiece.

What’s up for grabs?

The winning business earns the most important prize of all – 12 months of bragging rights as Victor Harbor’s Best Dressed Business!

There may also be a rather nice prize or two waiting for the winners.

So gather the pink streamers, dust off the records, raid the op shops and let your imagination loose.

C’mon Victor Harbor, it really is time to paint the town pink!
