Shoreline Showstopper: South Australia’s Only Traditional Pin-Up Pageant in 2025
After popular demand, the iconic celebration of vintage glamour makes its long-awaited return to Victor Harbor with Shoreline Showstopper – a full-tilt tribute to style, attitude, and flair straight from the golden age of pinup.
This isn’t your average fashion show. As South Australia’s only traditional format pin-up pageant in 2025, Shoreline Showstopper celebrates confidence, creativity and individuality. It’s a highlight of the festival weekend, bringing together performers from across the country for a celebration of the vintage-inspired pin-up culture that grew from the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll.

Whether you’re just starting your pin-up journey or you’re a seasoned stiletto-wielding sensation, the stage is yours. We welcome entrants of all styles – from true vintage and modern to rockabilly, punkabilly, and everything in between.
…and before you ask: Shoreline Showstopper celebrates all genders, and everyone is invited to enter!
When and where?
Saturday 20 September – 5MU Stage, Warland Reserve
12:30 – Debut & Intermediate
2:30 – Classic
3:30 – Crowning & Prizes
Each section gives the spotlight to a different level of experience:
- Debut: Perfect for first-time performers or those just starting out in the pin-up scene. It’s all about confidence and giving it a go.
- Intermediate: For those with a few pageants under their belt who are starting to find their signature style.
- Classic: The most experienced performers, often competing at a national level with highly polished routines and presentation.
What are the judges looking for?
Shoreline Showstopper is not a beauty contest. It’s about personality, poise and performance. Judges consider how entrants embrace the spirit of modern pin-up through styling, stage presence and their ability to connect with the audience.
All finalists will be judged on how they interact with the Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival crowd, how well they meet the posing criteria for their level, and their sense of musicality as well as their costuming and outfit. (By the way, don’t think you can’t join just because you don’t have “authentic” threads. Vintage is encouraged, but not a necessity – instead, the competition encourages any outfit that reflects “what pin-up means to you” (and that includes sub-genres!).
Who wins?
Each section crowns a winner and runner-up, but the spotlight doesn’t stop there. Titles are also handed out for Best Social Media, Congeniality (picked by the finalists), and Crowd Favourite (voted live by the Victor Harbor audience).
Shoreline Showstopper is proudly brought to life by Miss Lu Lu Belle and Miss Evelyn Goode – two vintage vixens with years of experience in the pin-up and rockabilly scene. Together, they’ve created a pageant that celebrates confidence, creativity and the spirit of modern pin-up culture.
