She’s got a name!

A little while back, we asked for your help naming the star of our 2026 festival poster – and more than 100 of you jumped in to vote.

After a very close race, we can finally introduce her properly:

Meet Sandy Shores!

The winning suggestion took out the poll by the narrowest of margins, finishing just ahead of Miss Ruby Red after a couple of weeks of voting and campaigning on Facebook.

Massive thanks to everybody who suggested names, shared the post, and cast a vote. Honestly, we were impressed by how invested people became in the fate of our fictional rock ’n’ roll poster girl.

(…and yes, we did notice her name’s similarity to the 1967 Eurovision winner from the UK – but rest assured, unlike a certain barefoot pop princess, our girl is no Puppet on a String!)

Congratulations as well to Emma Gray who suggested the winning name – we’ll have your very official certificate (and prize) safely waiting at the Coral Club for you to pick up.

Now that she’s properly introduced, expect to see Sandy Shores popping up around the place a bit more often between now and September.
