Winner: Best Dressed Business 2024

Wow, Victor Harbor! You really did paint the town pink in support of the 2024 Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival! Visitors from out of town commented on how great it was to see the community come together for the event – and there were so many incredible window displays, we had trouble picking the best one!

…so, because we are indecisive types, we’ve decided to acknowledge three wonderful runners-up, who will get a certificate (and some bragging rights), as well as our overall winner.

Starting with the honourable mentions:

Encounter Centre Wooden Toy Factory: This one was a surprise! We loved all the jukeboxes, the tiny Elvis dresses, the 50s diner details, and the little wooden car display – just like the one on Warland Reserve!

All Sweets and Treats: The souvenir lolly tins provided the perfect labels for the vinyl records hanging in the windows! Bonus points for the “vintage” family photo from a years-ago festival used as a DIY event poster!

Mr Menswear: It’s a classic for a reason. We were thrilled to see the new owners have not neglected their decorative duties, with guitars, microphones, radios and neat details tucked in amongst the more modern clothing.

…but after all that, there can only be one winner, and that honour goes to… (drum roll please!)

Kids Lane!

The longer we looked at this window in Ocean Street North, the more details we noticed. There’s classic cars, vinyl records, pink and black balloons, and Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival logos and mini posters. We absolutely loved the effort put into making this fun and vibrant display – Elvis is there front and centre, but did you spot Guns N’ Roses sneaking in on the top left?

Congratulations to Christine and the team – we’ll drop by shortly with your prize, thanks to the generous folks at The Big Duck!
